The Oyster system of both the models is fixed in an air-tight case which protects the perpetual movement from water and other particles. And the similarity in both the watches is that both of them, the Datejust and the Datejust II feature the iconic Oyster case. One of the significant features which differentiate between the Rolex Datejust and the Rolex Datejust II is the movement of the models, that is, the Datejust II is equipped with the chronometer-certified caliber 3136 movements. This line of watches came with the iconic Datejust with a more streamlined and modern design and had some new innovations. Later in 2009, Rolex introduced the Rolex Datejust II. The Datejust comes in a variety of 18kt yellow gold, rose gold, or stainless steel, and is available for both men and women.
